D. Brett Burrow
Mr. Burrow is a Member of Burrow Lee, PLLC. Mr. Burrow focuses his practice on the representation of self-insured entities, third-party administrators, insurers and their insureds. Although a good portion of Mr. Burrow’s practice includes defense of employers in employment related litigation, including workers’ compensation, he also defends numerous cases in the fields of personal injury and products liability.
Mr. Burrow practices in courts across the entire state of Tennessee as well as federal courts. He has taken numerous cases to trials. Also, he mediates most of his cases to successful resolution. He believes that an important part of defending clients against workers’ compensation claims is to develop a proactive solution for the employer. Mr. Burrow counsels and provides advice to his clients on a daily basis to best position them for current or future claims.
Mr. Burrow is a frequent speaker on numerous legal topics within his practice areas. He has conducted multiple seminars on workers’ compensation law to self-insured employers, insurers and to employers providing insight on the practical application of workers’ compensation to each entity’s circumstance. He has also been recognized, most recently, by the Berkley Southeast Insurance Group with the 2017 Most Valuable Attorney Award.
D. Brett Burrow attended Vanderbilt University where he graduated with a BA in communications in 1986. While at Vanderbilt University he was a letterman in basketball for four years. He attended the University of Kentucky law school where he graduated in 1990 and obtained his J.D. He was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 1990.
